Finding Alignment
I grew up in south Texas, the fourth of ten children, in and out of Southern Baptist churches. I never felt a connection to what was being taught. And up until 2021, I never even felt a connection to Source/God - of which I knew anyhow. After Source made a sudden introduction in my life in early 2021, so many things in my existence began to make sense, including the childhood poverty, the abuse, all of the trauma, and all of the knowings I had with no logical explanation. I also realized Source had in fact always been there. Every time I moved my body to music to dance. Every time I used my voice in school choir. My soul was lit and my being was held by the spark of Source within me - moving and releasing traumas, grounding me - allowing me to be seen, heard, and witnessed, and to experience pure childlike joy and passion regardless of the struggles I was experiencing. I am so very grateful for those free programs my schools had at the time and for my siblings financial support when participation wasn’t free, for dancing and singing carried me through the challenges of my childhood.
Fast forward to the year 2020 - the beginning of many major changes in my life, just as it was for so many others. The next few years would bring a spiritual awakening, the loss of a parent, a sudden career change, and the deepest trials of my 20+ year relationship with my life partner. Having remembered what my purpose was not too terribly long before all of these shifts - to hold healing space for others and to help them remember their power and step into it - I decided to complete YTT (yoga teaching training). I knew I could guide a classroom, as I had taught many styles of dance for more than ten years, and I felt I could reach more people with my purpose by placing myself in a position to hold a space where those who enter are open and ready to heal in some way, shape, or form.
While earning my Vinyasa/Hatha certification in YTT, I learned about many other forms of yoga, sound healing, and energy healing. My world expanded very quickly. Studies and /or certifications in yin yoga, restorative yoga, kundalini yoga, breathwork, sound healing, Reiki. After learning about Reiki and more deeply exploring the interesting and interactive relationship I had with the energy in my own physical body from the time I was a young child, I became a Reiki Master Teacher. As I deepened my practice of Reiki, I discovered Quantum Healing and received my certification under the study of Erin Lyons.
I currently guide quantum yin yoga and sound healing classes, breathwork classes, and offer a variety of one on one quantum healing sessions at Source Sanctuary in Del Mar, California. Kundalini Yoga is a passion of mine that I am continuously guided to, and I will be studying the practice more deeply this summer (2026) in India. I am the blessed mother and guide of two beautiful souls and I am co-creating my dream life with Source and my beautiful and supportive life partner. I show up in deep gratitude daily for the opportunity of my existence, and I look forward to continuing to serve our collective.
my philosophy on healing….
I have been shown everything is connected, and at the source of ailments, illnesses, or struggles is shadow work to be done.
Often, by the time certain ailments show up physically in the body, the soul is already screaming for changes to be made to one’s internal and/or external environment. Issues come from, but are not limited to, the things put into the body that affect development and one’s ability to flourish, the self-care products put on the body that seep into the bloodstream and body systems via the skin, the circumstances and energies one chooses to enter daily via friends, family, work environments, activities, and self-talk in life, the disregard of intuition, and the generational trauma passed through the womb that leaves so many feeling the victim of their existence.
Shadow work, ultimately, is the uncovering of all parts of the self that have been shut down and / or shut out consciously or unconsciously and working through any issues that are holding one back from living their most authentic life. It is the total acceptance of every past version of one’s self in compassion, understanding, and unconditional love. Issues often at the root of shadow work include, but are not limited to, one’s traumas, mistakes, fears, attachments, or moments of shame, embarrassment, and anger. Shadow work is not confined to this life, and any healing to be done may span across multiple lifetimes. Similar to a life changing/traumatic event of this life that needs healed, we may have wounds from other lifetimes affecting the way we are able to show up in the present. Just as we can heal a childhood wound from the past of this life, so can we heal the wounds of our past lives.
To help clients and students achieve deep healing, remembrance, expansion, I work using a wide variety of tools, from sound healing, breathwork and yoga to intuitive conversation and quantum healing. Our bodies and minds are incredibly intelligent and intuitive. We sometimes just need guidance to the most appropriate healing tool for the job at the time, and to simply be reminded of our power and capabilities.
